Job Description: Public Communications Inc. (PCI), a national communications and marketing agency based in downtown Chicago, is looking for an experienced digital marketer to lead the digital strategy and execution for our growing independent, mid-size agency.Your job is to further develop the firm’s digital capabilities, reflecting broad communications goals and leading the strategy and delivery of those programs on behalf of our variety of high-profile clients. You will work on programs that make a positive difference in our community every day, implementing plans that range from safeguarding people’s health to ensuring wildlife conservation.The successful candidate will play a critical role in the agency by bringing leadership and structure to our digital capabilities. 2. Senior Account Executive

Job Description: PCI is looking for two senior account executives who want to make a substantial impact in our growing independent, mid-size agency.The ideal candidates will play a critical role in the agency by serving as a direct client contact, developing and implementing key programs and initiatives for high-profile clients and maintaining strong media and client relationships essential to the agency’s growth. One of the hires will help lead a communications program for a world-class Chicago cultural institution including developing creative strategies that drive attendance and increase awareness and engagement for new exhibits, educational programming and fun events through national, regional and local media relations, social media and other communications channels. The other will help lead communications programs for national healthcare clients, including nonprofit associations and for-profit businesses, developing creative strategies that increase awareness of important health initiatives and offerings through national, regional and local media relations, social media and other communications channels. 3. Account Executive

Job Description: Ideal candidate must have one to three years of public relations experience, beyond internships. A solid background in media relations and an understanding of media are essential to this role. Ideal candidate also has strong writing and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects are necessary. Healthcare and agency experience are preferred.Job functions include leading projects and supervising staff, participating in client meetings, drafting media materials, building media lists; conducting phone and email pitching to national, major market and trade media; coordinating media interviews; staffing and managing events and live shots; monitoring media for client news and keeping up with trends in our clients’ fields; drafting client-related communications including memos, conference reports and end-of-month reports, assisting with strategic content development for client’s digital platforms; and conducting research.
Job Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism preferred.

4. Internship Program
PCI
Position Details: Three to five month internship. Opportunity for internship extension or full-time staff position.Ideal candidate must be available to work full-time, five days a week.

Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism. Candidates must have completed college studies or nearing graduation.Strong writing and organizational skills.Media pitching experience preferred.

Job Functions: Develop media lists for client programs using Cision Mediasource database. Training will be provided.Conduct phone and email pitching to major market and trade media to secure TV, print, radio and online coverage for client projects.Assist in drafting media materials, including email media pitches, media alerts, news releases, and fact sheets.Conduct research. Provide on-site assistance at client events, as needed.
Intern Benefits:$13 hourly wage. Health, dental and vision insurance.  Interns must work an average of 30 hours per week to qualify for benefits.
