SUMMARY:Public Speaking: It's Not That Scary - - You're Just Telling a Story
DESCRIPTION:Catwoman got your tongue? Learning how to be a successful public speaker is as easy as learning your ABCs! Well maybe not\, but Women’s EmpowHERment Coach Nikki Nigl will help ease your fears\, and teach you how to be a verbal ninja. She’ll share her own set of ABCs when it comes to confidently speaking in front of other people: Anticipate (your audience/environment)\, Breathe (if your hands start shaking like crazy or you panic)\, and Conceive (your story\, your talk\, your presentation). It won’t happen overnight\, but it will happen — Nikki believes in you! \nPresenter Bio: \nPossessed by her Midwest sensibility\, West Coast calm\, and East Coast edge\, Nikki has dedicated her life to motivating the masses with a no-nonsense but understanding approach to life – – and to public speaking. She is known to put your mind at ease when it comes to standing before an audience. Yeah! That’s her thing. It’s what she does. She once dreaded being in front of an audience so she knows the feeling well. She recently did a TED Talk at TEDxNEIU so she has clearly gotten over her stage fright – – – and so can you. \nJoin Illinois Woman’s Press Association for this event\, offering skill coaching critical to the success of all professionals.
