Journalism, Broadcasting & the Simple Art of Storytelling
IWPA Awards Luncheon--May 14, 2005
The impact of today's technology on journalism and broadcasting - and the relationship among journalism, broadcasting and the age-old art of storytelling - are just two of the topics veteran journalist Linda Profetto will address at IWPA's Annual Awards Luncheon.
Linda, with 30-plus years of writing, journalism and broadcast media experience, currently teaches journalism at Bremen High School, Midlothian. She will not only share her communications and teaching experiences, she also promises a dynamic look at the importance of having women mentors in business, and the importance of organizations like IWPA in guiding the next generation of women editors, writers, and broadcast journalists. Linda will also share ideas on how all students and professional communicators can stay in touch with today's technology.
Please join on Saturday, May 14, for this special event when IWPA honors this year's Communications Contest Award winners, the High School Journalism Contest winners and IWPA's nominee for the coveted NFPW Communicator of Achievement. You won't want to miss this annual event-an exciting speaker, presentation of awards, a delicious luncheon, and networking with old and new friends. Mark you calendar and make your reservations now.
