During the May 15 membership meeting at the Union League Club of Chicago, IWPA President Marianne Wolf- Astrauskas recounted a brief h i story of IWPA, noting membership comprised many distinguished members of Chicago’s early society and business community, and cited their many contributions.

Revisions to the bylaws were passed and Marianne thanked Val Ensalaco, committee chair, and Cecilia Green and Terry Haycock for their work on the fouryear project. She circulated a sign-in sheet so we would have a historical record of the attendees, and a “Share your vision with your board” questionnaire.

Other highlights included election and installation of officers: Marianne thanked her board members for their service, with special thanks to outgoing officers First VP – Programs, Lana Weiss Brown, and Third VP, Angie Leszczak, who coordinated the 2010 Mate E. Palmer Communications Contest.

Marianne installed Angie Leszczak, First VP/ Program; Deidra Somerville, Third VP/Mate E. Palmer Communications Contest; and Susan Brauer, Treasurer.
