Writing for the Web

Join us from 6 to 8 p.m, Wed., April 25, at the Chicago
Athletic Association, 12 S. Michigan, for "Writing for the Web" with
Mary Ann Eiler, Ph.D. This event is cosponsored with the Chicago Women in Publishing. Cost is $10 for IWPA and
CWIP members, $15 for nonmembers. Parking is available in Grant Parking (north) for

Writing for the Web
The presentation will
discuss/demonstrate the following:
Mary Ann Eiler, Ph.D.
Mary Ann Eiler received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Illinois Institute of Technology
in 1979 (with a sabbatical at the University of Sydney, Australia). She received her
MA in English/American Literature from Loyola University and holds a BA from Mundelein
College in Chicago. Since 1982, Mary Ann has worked for the American Medical
Association. Currently she is operations manager for the database products &
licensing division that uses the Vignette StoryServer for Web authoring. For the last 10 years, Mary Ann has been an adjunct
professor for IIT, teaching graduate classes in document and online design. She has
done presentations for many groups, including Northern Illinois University, the Society of
Technical Communicators, and the American Medical Writers' Association. She is a
frequent contributor to the Society of Technical Communicators journal as well.
