IWPA Wins Its Wings

The IWPA was one of 18 National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) affiliates elevated to NFPW Angel status for regaining at least 10% of its lapsed members. NFPW First Vice President Vivien Sadowski awarded a numbered pewter angel to IWPA President Peggy Grillot at the end of the fall membership drive.

All 18 affiliates are now competing to see which state can produce the most new members between July 1, 1998 and March 1, 1999. The winning state will receive one free registration to the annual NFPW Communications Conference to be held June 24-26 in Nashville, Tenn.
