Congratulations to Pat Szpekowski, APR, president of PmS advertising, inc./public relations in Carpentersville. The Suburban Chicagoland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America recognized her with the chapter's Lifetime Achievement Award in public relations, which is given to a professional who demonstrates leadership within the chapter and community.

IWPA member Lydia Rypcinski will be spending this summer in China working for the Olympic News Service reporting team. She’s covering softball and also instructing Chinese journalists on the basics of the game so they can help her report.
