Don't judge a book by its cover. You all know that adage and while you shouldn't, the fact is you do. Packaging does make a difference! And it's no different for you. First impressions count, whether you're meeting potential clients, future managers, or possible collaborators.

"Visual leadership© is one aspect of the new professionalism trend that has emerged long after the dot.com era," says Maureen Costello, principal of ImageLaunch., and speaker at IWPA's Sat., February 21, 2004, meeting at the Chicago Athletic Association. "The added quotients of emotional intelligence combined with a competitive business environment have employees and entrepreneurs looking for ways to increase their marketplace advantage."

But don't worry. You don't need an extreme makeover to enhance your professional image. Maureen will share her tips and techniques to have you always put your best foot forward. Here are some reasons to attend:

Maureen Costello: Learn from Maureen how to develop a straight eye for your personal style. Maureen is an image management expert with over 18 years experience as a corporate trainer and a custom clothing retailer for her Oak Street boutique and menswear merchant Paul Stuart on Michigan.

She assists her clients in setting standards for visual leadership to promote positive personal impressions. She has conducted training for multinational corporations and healthcare institutions in the U.S. and Singapore, where she lived for four years.

Maureen is past vice president of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Image Consultants International. She is also an active member of Colour Designer's International and is working on her first book to be published later this year.
