Angie Leszczak, 2012 IWPA Communicator of AchievementAngie Leszczak is honored to have been chosen for the 2012 Communicator of Achievement award. She has freelanced for several magazines and newspapers. Two years ago Angie changed the focus of her writing and began to write bible based curriculum. Currently she is writing the curriculum for Christian Family Church’s Children’s Church, located in Chattanooga, TN. To date she had penned over 63 bible lessons. Recently Angie has been asked to begin work on the young ladies ministry curriculum, Not Your Average Girl’s Ministry, also aAngies traveling between Chicago and Chattanooga part of Christian Family Church.

Although Angie is traveling quite extensively between Chicago and Chattanooga, her passion is towant to help today’s young girls overcome life’s obstacles and achieve everything they can be. Angie serves as assistant in the young ladies ministry, Bella Gems at the NW Indiana campus of her home church. Angie has been asked to help research, develop and write the content for this ministry’s website. A future curriculum is in the works.


The Illinois Woman's Press Association, IWPA (since 1885) is an organization of communications professionals whose objective is to maintain and improve the professional standards of members in mass communications in Illinois, to promote their interest, and to provide for the sharing of ideas and information. Having celebrated 125 years in 2010, IWPA continues to hold a firm place in the history of women communicators in Illinois. Today, IWPA embraces members of all gender and generations. IWPA is an affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women.
