Making History in Arizona

Don't miss the 2012 NFPW Communication Conference

Don't miss an opportunity to make history with the National Federation of Press Women at the 2012 NFPW Communications Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, September 20-22 as we celebrate NFPW's 75th anniversary and the Arizona Centennial! Circle the third week of September on your calendars as a time for some fun in the sunny Southwest, some great professional training, perhaps an award or two and, of course, a celebration of NFPW's 75th anniversary.
An exciting array of professional development sessions are planned, including learning tracks covering writing books; public relations and marketing; print, web and broadcast journalism; digital media, social media and writing for the web; and general sessions to boost your creativity and productivity.
75 years ago, Helen Miller Malloch, the 20th president of the Illinois Woman's Press Association set motion the necessary steps to organize the National Federation of Press Women. Helen was a pacesetter as founder and as she served as the first president of NFPW, and as IWPA president, simultaneously. From conceiving a national organization for newspaperwomen and writers in 1935, she gave 38 years of her life to NFPW.

This September, we celebrate Malloch's achievements and the history of NFPW.
